Round 2 opened the Lima chapter of the program. Day one alone moved from a private, director-led tour of the Museo AfroPeruano, to a history lecture, to dancing en jarana at El Buque in La Victoria, to a Valentina-style Festejo class in Chorrillos — closing with Marinera Norteña danced right there in the Buque on a beautiful afternoon.
From Lima the cohort travelled to El Carmen and danced in the Carnaval Negro alongside the community. It remains one of the rounds Cynthia returns to most often: "I'll never forget this moment with Round 2 of Dance Your Ancestors in el carnaval de El Carmen."
