Four months of live online training from November 2023, then ten days in Peru: Lima first, then El Carmen for carnival season.
The culmination came when the cohort was invited to perform during La Yunza de la familia Ballumbrosio — not as visitors watching a tradition, but as dancers inside it, taught by Maria Ballumbrosio. A song was born that day too. It is the clearest picture of what this program is actually for: you arrive prepared enough, and with enough respect, to be handed the dance.
